If your eating behaviours restrict your intake of food, cause you to ignore hunger and fullness cues and opt for food rules instead, or make you feel like you need to compensate for what you have eaten. Ding Ding Ding...that's a diet📣
Once you understand what the dieting mentality is, you can begin to recognize what parts of it you haven't let go of. You also will start to notice the messages in society that contribute to the dieting mentality😤
When a dieting thought comes up, use self-compassion. Reflect on it. Where did it come from? How does it make you feel? Be aware but not judgmental. Some day there won't be so many to tackle. 🙅♀️
